This ryokan/hotel is perfect for anyone wanting to be in direct touch with nature. The outdoor onsen and family bath provide a serene atmosphere to relax. The washitsu room is spacious and comfortable with a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. The big spread breakfast is traditional Japanese food that is consistent and delicious.
The hotel's location leaves something to be desired as the surrounding onsen town is not worth visiting.

Great washitsu room, ok onsen, rooftop outdoor bath. Classic hotel catering to Japanese tourists.
There was nothing I didn't like.

We loved the traditional Japanese room, immaculate and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making our stay comfortable. The hotel facilities were well equipped, including a decent onsen and a rooftop outdoor bath, both with stunning views. Additionally, the location was convenient, near public transportation and with plenty of parking available.
Nothings.

The hotel provided a lovely Christmas stay, offering well-designed rooms and a comfortable onsen experience. The hotel's location was convenient, with easy access to nearby train stations and tourist attractions. The hotel also offered a delicious breakfast spread, featuring a wide variety of Japanese cuisine.
the outdoor onsen's gender-specific schedule was inconvenient, and there was no guarantee it would be available during your stay.

The room was nice and had a private toilet. The outdoor onsen was a great experience. The hotel offered room service, which was nice when we didn't feel like going out. The hotel was located only a short taxi ride from the train station.
The shared bathroom was not ideal as we were not informed about it when we booked. The breakfast was mainly Japanese food and was the same every day.
